Mall, lunatics, and chile's...

Greetings all from Texas! Where it is about 70 degrees warmer than northern kentucky...how delightful!

We arrived safe and sound last night at around 8.30pm. Of course our first stop was to the store to buy wine and then we were on our way to Lisa's house in Pflugerville.  We spent a fabulous evening just chatting and catching up with Lisa and Joel, while eating tamales and drinking wine. Such fun!

This morning, after a leisurely start, we headed off to the Barton Creek mall to do some Christmas shopping. Were we crazy to go to the mall this close to Christmas? Maybe, but not as crazy as the man we were about to run into...

As we strolled through the mall a man and his young son walked by. He walked quite close to us and Lisa accidentally bumped into the little boy.  She immediately said sorry but the father turned round and started to yell at her. She apologized again, and before we knew what was happening the man was letting out a torrent of abuse at her. James stepped forward and asked the man to stop at which point he turned on James. Well, the woke thing resulted in a huge argument with James telling the man to get therapy and me suggesting that he should switch to decaf. It ended with man walking off just as Lisa was about to hit her stride as Bon Qui Qui. What a lovely day at the mall.

Of course, just as when you are in the grocery store and you see the same people again and again, every where we turned we saw him again. When we went to Nordstrom, there he was scowling angrily at the shop assistants too. Clearly the guy needed a little more Christmas spirit!

Finally we left the mall and who should be exiting in front of us? Yes, it was crazy man again, so Lisa snapped a quick picture of him. I think she is off printing some wanted posters as we speak...

So now we are all comfortably back home, with a glass of wine of course, and James is going to cook Chile Rellenos for us all.  I am sitting on the couch writing to all of you! Such is life.

So tomorrow a little more shopping and chill time. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. And just in case you are heading yo the mall, here is a picture of the crazy man!

Big love to you all!

Listening for ET?

Greetings BlogPickers...David here at about 35000 feet. As you can see James has discovered a new career as a listening post operative for SETI and is currently listening for ET.  Or he could be listening to the Doris Day Christmas album while checking out the latest issue of Martha Stewart Living on his nice Windows Phone 7. Yes, that's right...its the debut of the Roving The World caption competition!

You dear reader must decide. Post your answers as a comment to this Facebook post!

Big Love,

DavidM

We are on our way, Rodger...

So, we made it to the airport okay. Our lovely neighbor Karine brought us here in her nice new car, and we are now set to go. First off though, something to eat in Outback...and of course a drink. We'll be boarding soon, methinks.

Now, who is Rodger...I have James!

Big love!

Time to leave the snow behind.

I'm also excited as this will be my first trip with my new windows phone 7 as well. A little Xbox live on the plane I think for me...
