Well, the tent is struck and we have left the campsite. James dutifully posed in the spot where the tent was. What would life be without a cheesey photo!
We were up at 6.30am courtesy of a mad woman from Alaska with 6 screaming children in an RV. The little darlings were trying to kill each other while the crazy lady watched. We call her the crazy lady, not because of the kids, but because she had arrived 2 days ago and we saw her driving her RV at high speed the wrong way round the campsite one way system, not once but twice, while leaning out the window. I bet she is going to have a super time here!
Yesterday was indeed a leisurely day. We pottered around the island looking at shops, had lunch of Lobster Rolls and Crisps/Chips, and then a lovely hike around 1 of the beaches. I attempted to take some pictures but the dreaded haze was back with a vengeance. Still, 1 or 2 may look nice with work in post. Dinner was back at Mckays, & James had a great seafood risotto, with crab & scallops, & we had a bottle of Vinho Verde 4 a change.
So now we are on our way 2 Bangor for the first of two reunions. First up is Lois, someone who James went to Uni with in Madison. They haven't seen each other for 35 years. I excitedly asked if we needed red carnations, and a copy of the London Times, hoping that we would get to stand under a clock tower at noon, but alas no. We are meeting 4 brunch instead & they exchanged photos on email. How modern! Now i am out of space!
BL,D&J!
